Serilingampally: State BJP Executive Committee Member Jnanendra Prasad on Monday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of "murdering democracy and behaving like a dictator" while handling the RTC strike.

Addressing a meeting following a three-hour demonstration of hundreds of RTC employees holding placards, organised by the RTC JAC at Miyapur depot on the 52nd day of the strike, he criticised KCR for his handling of the strike, even five days after the employees offered to withdraw their agitation and resume duty.

The BJP leader stated that because of the government stand, bus accidents were caused resulting in some deaths and injuries to people as inexperienced drivers were deployed. "This amounted to playing with the lives of people," Prasad alleged. He called for taking of right decision by both the RTC employees and people to "teach a lesson to KCR as an opportune time would come."

Those present at the meeting were Miyapur RTC JAC leaders Vinayak Reddy, Vijay, Bhaskar, Raja Babu, Basha Goud, Annapurna, Madhavi, J L Narayana, Thota Srinu, RTC staff.
