Basheerbagh: Kanakala Kutumba Rao, a farmer who lost his land as part of land acquisition exercise by government for the rifle range at Devathala Gutta of Rangareddy district, demanded compensation from the state government. As per details, the state government acquired five acres of land belonging to Kutumba Rao's wife Raja Ratnam and other woman Vijayalakshmi with survey number 124 in the year 2018.

Later, the land was transferred to the central government, but the farmer was not given the compensation. Seeking justice, Kutumba Rao approached Rangareddy district court and the court ordered the government to give Rs 7.3 crore as compensation, but the court order was not implemented so far.

Speaking to media, Rao lamented that the compensation was not given even after 12 years, despite court orders. He said that his wife Raja Ratnam had passed away waiting for the compensation. He appealed to the state government to pay compensation.
