Voters youth festival today

Ongole: As part of the 'Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation' programme, the Prakasam district administration is organising a youth festival for the district voters on Monday, announced the Nodal officer and STEP CEO Dr B Ravi here on Sunday.

Ravi said that they are organizing three simultaneous rallies from municipal office, ABM college ground and HCM College ground and reaches Collectorate via Church Center at 08.30 AM. He said that they will create awareness among voters on the importance of vote and organize various cultural activities for them. He said that the youth from various places and DWCRA women will participate in the rally and invited the public to join them.

As part of the SWEEP programme on Sunday, Singothu Praveen, an amateur sand sculpture artist from Pakala, made a sand art at Kothapatnam beach to create awareness to tourists. As part of the awareness programme, Praveen explained the functioning of EVM and VVPAT to the people who appreciated his work.
