Vijayawada: Minister Vellampalli Srinivas presents saree to Goddess Kanakadurga

Vijayawada: Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas on Monday presented Saree to Goddess Kanakadurga to mark the onset of Ashada masam. As part of the tradition, the Minister visited the temple and presented the saree.

Speaking on the occasion, Vellampalli said devotees from not only Andhra Pradesh but also from other states visit the temple and present the sarees. He said the festival would continue in the month of Ashadam.

Referring to Covid guidelines, Vellampalli said the guidelines are being followed by the temple administration.

Temple Trust Board chairman P Sominaidu, executive officer M Suresh Babu, priests and the staff were present.

He said that he prayed for the wellbeing of Andhra Pradesh, country and the world and to save people from Covid pandemic.
