Vijayawada: Dr Vundavalli Sreedevi, MLA, Tadikonda inaugurated 3rd batch of STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students) programme and issued free laptops to STAR students at VIT ( AP) University- Amaravati here on Friday. She also inaugurated a synthetic tennis court by unveiling the plaque.

Shankar Viswanathan, vice-president of VIT-AP University in his address, requested the students to focus on their education and be the first in the chosen areas. He said that the students should actively participate in sports and other extracurricular activities for a bright career and a balanced life.

Dr D Subhakar, Vice-chancellor of VIT AP University, Dr Kammela Sreedhar, Sk Khadeer Pasha, Asst Director, Admissions, Dr CLV Sivakumar, Registrar, VIT AP University, students, staff and faculty were present.
