Strive to achieve 100 % results in 10th Class: Collector tells MEOs

Kurnool: District Collector Ganeshan Veera Pandian strictly ordered the officials of education department to ensure cent per cent attendance in government schools. They have to strive to achieve 100 per cent results in 10th class. Every student has to be supplied with school books, dress and shoes. If any of the officials is found negligent towards his duties, he will face stringent action, he said.

The Collector addressed a meeting with the Mandal Education Officers (MEOs) and Principals at Sunaina Auditorium on Saturday and gave some suggestions and orders to be followed. The officials, by coordinating with each other, have to strive to impart quality education to the children, he stated.

All the teachers have to determine that they will achieve 100 percent results in 10th class. Students pursuing education in government schools have to achieve 10 out of 10 GPA on par with the private school students, said Veera Pandian.

He further said that the literacy rate in the district is only 60 per cent that needs a growth to 80 per cent. People who are interested to participate in the mission can enroll their names at District Education Office or Adult Education Office. They will not be paid any allowance.

The officials have to prepare plan on how to achieve good results from now itself, suggested the Collector. He also reviewed on bio-metric, implementation of mid-day meals, development of schools, cleanliness, inspire management, Red Cross and scouts. He also advised special attention is needed to pay towards health and education.

Later, accompanied by other officials, he presented commendation certificates to the scout cadets.

District Education Officer, Tahera Sultana, Adult Education Officer, Jaya Prasad, SSA Project Officer, Tilak Vidya Sagar, ICDS Project Director, Leelavathi, Assistant Director, Anuradha, DCEB, Nagaraju, Vijaya Simha Dareshi Khadari and others were present.
