One student-one plant drive organised in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: As a part of the programme 'One Student - One Plant,' the NSS Unit members of Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College took up the plantation drive in Chinaogirala village near Vuyyuru on Sunday.

This village is one of the five adopted villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan by the college. The NSS volunteers planted 200 plants on roadside which protects the villagers from sun radiation.

The plantation was held under the guidance of the college NSS Programme Officer Dr Kolla Narendra. The NSS volunteers participated in the plantation drive with great enthusiasm.
