Officials told to clear vehicles parked on roads in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Rama Rao ordered the concerned staff to clear the vehicles which were parked on the roads and creating inconvenience to the passerby. He also ordered to relocate the machinery left on the roads.

The Commissioner expressed his dissatisfaction over the parked vehicles and machinery on the roads obstructing the traffic. As part of the routine visit of the city, the commissioner visited 42 and 47 divisions.

At SRP road, Mudunuru Street, the commissioner ordered the officials to impose Rs 5,000 fine to the owner of the machinery and relocate the machinery with immediate effect.

On observing the debris at the ongoing work taken up by L and T near Sitannapeta CSR road, the commissioner ordered the workers to immediately clear the debris.

Later, the commissioner visited the swimming pool at Gandhinagar and enquired about the facilities provided. On knowing about the lack of drinking water facility, he immediately ordered to arrange a fridge in the wake of summer.

Health officer Dr Madhusudhana Prasad, Deputy Executive Engineer Narayana Murthy and others were present.
