Navy school students perform flash mob to conserve water

Visakhapatnam: With a purpose to spread awareness about conservation of water, the students of Navy Children School astounded the shoppers by performing a flash mob at CMR Shopping Mall on Thursday.

Most of the students were dressed in white kurta paired with a blue 'dupatta', while some of them enacted the roles of a farmer, a priest, a water droplet and village girl and many more. Meanwhile, few of them grabbed a good attention from the onlookers with their props, which read 'Harvest the rain reaps the gains' and H20 Expiry date – nil.'

The shoppers formed a big circle surrounding the flash mob and interestingly, all the floors of shopping malls were jam-packed with audience, capturing every moment of the dance and some of them went live on their social media.

"We need to understand the importance of this topic and everybody should stop wasting water as every drop counts," says Tou Ki Shong, a Korean traveler. For Ananya, a student of Navy Children School, says, "I think it is very important to save water as it plays a major role in our daily life."

Amidst the massive crowd, the students administered a pledge to conserve water. Principal of Navy Children School Parul Kumar says, "Each and every one of us is consuming water liberally.

We cannot think a life without water and if we don't save water now, we are going to have tough time managing the crisis, since it is a limited resource. So, the idea of flash mob is to spread message about saving water as it is the responsibility of each individual."
