Kurnool: Laksha Deepotsavam at Srisailam temple on Nov 25
Kurnool: Executive Officer (EO) of Srisailam Temple K S Rama Rao said that the devotees would throng the temple in large numbers on November 24 and 25 as those days are the last Sunday and Monday of the auspicious Karthika Masam.
He instructed the temple staff to be on the alert while tackling the heavy rush and ensure necessary arrangements to the devotees. He addressed a meeting convened with the officials concerned at his chambers on Friday.
Rama Rao said that Arjitha Abhisekhalu would be completely stopped on these two days. On 24th the devotees would be allowed to have the darshnam of Swamy Amma Varlu in regular intervals and on 25th only Alankara dashnam will be allowed.
This process will enable the devotees to have the darshan freely without stranding in queue lines for hours together, said Rama Rao. The devotees can have Sarva Darshanam after 4 am on Sunday and Monday. The engineering department officials would be deployed at queue lines and complexes.
There will be six waiting compartments and three queue complexes. Three more compartments were added to the existing ones for paid darshnams. The devotees would be provided with tiffin, water and hot milk during morning hours.
Safety arrangements were made to the devotees taking holy bath at Pathala Ganga. A team of swimming experts has been advised to be maintain constant vigil. The temple staff along with police and home guards would perform duties on temple premises, queue lines and complexes and at other necessary places.
On the occasion of last Monday of auspicious Kartthika Masam, Laksha Deepotsavam at temple Pushkarani and Pushkarini Harathi would be performed, Rama Rao said. Assistant Executive Officer SV Krishna Reddy, Deputy executive engineers Narasimha Reddy, Srinivasa Reddy, assistant engineers Siva Reddy, Subba Reddy, Circle Inspector G Ravindra and others were present.
