Kisan Morcha stages dharna in Kakinada

Kakinada: Bharatiya Kisan Morcha activists staged dharna at Collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the government apply `Rythu Bharosa' scheme to allfarmers irrespective of caste.

District Kisan Morcha president Pendam Satyannarayana raised slogans against the government and said that all farmers are equal in cultivating lands, when they incur losses during calamities.

The BJP district president, Y Malakondaiah said that the government should give Rs18,500 instead of Rs12,500 as Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised Rs12,500 to the farmers without involvement of the Central government.

He also alleged that the YSRC government was claiming the Central government schemes as it own schemes. The BJP leaders demanded that the state government exhibit the photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the government was publicizing the schemes.
