Kakinada: Social Welfare Minister Pinipe Vishwaroop has assured that the government will take full care of the farmers who lost their crops due to the Nivar cyclone.

He visited damaged paddy fields along with officials of Nangavaram, Sannavili, Kunavaram and other villages in Uppalaguptam and Allavaram mandals of Amalapuram division on Sunday.

He interacted with the farmers and enquired about their damaged paddy crop. He said that every acre of damaged crop due to the rains be registered and every farmer would be taken care of by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Seeds will be supplied to farmers with 80 per cent subsidy and compensation will be provided for every acre affected by the cyclone. He said farmers need not worry about their damaged crops.

Later, Viswaroop stated that at the time of reaping of the harvest the crops are damaged due to the heavy rains. He said that the agriculture fields have turned into tanks. Minister said the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the enumeration by December 15 and pay compensation by the end of December.
