JEO opens recording studio in Vedic varsity
Tirupati: The TTD run Sri Venkateswara Vedic University on Friday celebrated its 14th formation day with gaiety and religious fervour. The celebrations began with series of Hindu religious ceremonies like Sudarshan Homam and Rudrabhshekam from morning 6 to 10 am.
Marking the occasion, TTD Joint Executive Officer P Basanth Kumar, who was the chief guest declared open the AP Skill Development unit and also inaugurated Veda Recording Studio in the Vedic University.
Speaking on the occasion, Basanth said that there were many unveiling of scientific invention in the Vedic period and after words but was disrupted because of invasions and alien rule. He stressed on promotion of education in mother tongue to accelerate scientific temper and research.
Vice-Chancellor S Sudarsana Sarma said this year, the university introduced many new post graduate courses based on Vedic science and explained in detail the efforts being taken up for the development of the university and promotion of Sanskrit to popularise the ancient language among the masses. Academic Dean GV Subramanaya Sarma and others also spoke.
