Jagan extends YSR Aarogyasri to other states
Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released a poster on the extension of YSR Aarogyasri services to 130 hospitals in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore, on Friday at Secretariat. These hospitals will provide services for 716 identified medical procedures in 17 super speciality departments in these hospitals.
The Chief Minister in a video conference spoke to a few YSR Aarogyasri beneficiaries and doctors from MIOT hospital in Chennai, Fortis Hospital in Bangalore, and Medcover Hospital in Hyderabad.
Dr Krishna Prasad, Medcover hospital, in conversation with the Chief Minister, assured of dedication in delivering YSR Aarogyasri services and said that this service has given a second life to several people.
Later, the Chief Minister spoke to Nettikuntaiah, a YSR Aarogyasri beneficiary. The CM asked doctors about the surgery that the patient has to undergo. He also enquired about the facilities being provided at the hospital and said 'All the best' to Nettikuntaiah.
The Chief Minister spoke to a one-year child Lokeshwar, Aarogyasri beneficiary who is suffering from small intestine illness. He interacted with the child's parents and enquired about the facilities at the hospital. Dr Raghavan, MIOT Hospital, Chennai detailed about Lokeshwar's treatment procedure. The Chief Minister told the doctors 'our people have come there with a strong belief' and instructed the doctors to 'take good care of those people.'
In the video conference with patients and Fortis Hospital, doctors from Bangalore, the Chief Minister spoke to a patient B Sumitra and enquired about the facilities at the hospital. She was suffering from Kidney related illness. We are starting a shockwave procedure to remove stones from Kidney, said Dr Shakir Tabrez. The doctors and Chief Minister have expressed their dedication towards providing YSR Aarogyasri services to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
130 hospitals have empanelled to provide improved services to Aarogyasri beneficiaries, said Chief Minister.
During YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Paada Yatra, several people have mentioned the absence of Aarogyasri services in other state hospitals and he has given assurance to the state people that the Aarogyasri services will be facilitated to Andhra Pradesh people in other state hospitals. Keeping up his promise, as per the directives of the experts committee appointed by the government for the reforms of the health sector, Aarogyasri services will apply to 122 procedures in Cardiac and Cardio-therapy, 10 in Cardiology, 8 in Critical Care, 13 in Endo Chronology, 22 in Gastroenterology, 64 in Genetic Urinary Surgeries, 79 in Medical Oncology, 6 in Nephrology, 12 in Neurology, 69 in Neurosurgery, 3 in organ transplantation, 66 in paediatric surgery, 35 in plastic surgery, 13 in radiation oncology, 6 in rheumatology, 57 in surgical gastroenterology, 131 in surgical oncology. In all 716 medical specialities in 17 super-speciality hospitals, these services will be available in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore.
