Eluru: Construction of Disha police station at brisk pace

SP Navdeep Singh Grewal receiving complaints from women at Spandana programme in Eluru on Monday

Eluru: West Godavari District Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal informed Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that the construction of Disha police station in the district was going on at a brisk pace.

He attended videoconference of the Chief Minister from Viziangaram on Monday and informed the latter that all facilities were being provided in the police station. Earlier, the SP received petitions from people at Spandana programme at police headquarters office. A volunteer in Samisragudem village complained to the SP that some persons attacked her and abused her with her caste. She urged the SP to take action against them. A woman from Bhimavaram complained that her in-laws were harassing her for more dowry. A woman from Errapalli village submitted a complaint stating that her husband was working as conductor and torturing her under the influence of vices.

The Superintendent of Police instructed the officials to take prompt action against the complaints received at the programmme.
