Collector assures full support to Muslim goldsmiths
Nellore: District Collector M V Seshagiri Babu said that they would support goldsmiths from the Muslim Community in the district to ensure their professional development.
He participated in the Grievance Day organised exclusively for them at the municipal office in the city on Tuesday. He assured they would provide skill development training to the youngsters through the AP Skill Development Corporation and AP Minorities Development Corporation.
He also said that goldsmiths have to update their skills according to the current needs and tastes of society. They can update their knowledge levels through skill training from time to time and asked the officials to prepare a training schedule. He said that they would also extend support to goldsmiths through various financial organisations.
The Collector said that they would provide support from the District Industries Centre if they are formed as small groups considering them as small scale industrial units. Facilities like subsidies on taxes, ensuring proper power supply and other amenities would be ensured to them.
He said they would discuss with the Lead District Manager on support to the people in the trade.Senior official of AP State Minorities Corporation K Narayana, AP Skill Development Corporation district manager Abdul Khayyam, Mepma PD Ramesh, General Manager of DIC Maruti Prasad, APSFC General Manager Madan Mohan, LDM YV Ramprasad Reddy and others explained various schemes being implemented. Association leaders were also present.
