CM Jagan Mohan Reddy reviews on Local body elections issues crucial directions to authorities
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has held a review with the officials at Secretariat on Tuesday is said to be decided to complete the election process of local bodies within a month as mentioned in the orders issued by High Court on Monday.
In the wake of High Court's orders, CM Jagan has instructed the relevant authorities to go ahead with the election process without any further delay. He reportedly said that the elections for MPTC, ZPTC, panchayat and municipal elections should be completed by April first week
Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the ordinance would be brought in view of new Panchayati Raj Act to curb the corruption in the elections. He said that the liquor and money flow should be stalled and advised the authorities to take strict actions against the culprits who resort to such means.
CM also ordered that an app be made available to local corporations to prevent irregularities and violations. The chief minister asserted that the app is available to the police, volunteers, employees, women and etc to see that there is no distribution.
