Amaravati: Chief Whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy lamented the tone and tenor of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in commenting against the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

"Naidu's comments on Chief Minister were highly regrettable. He used derogatory terms against Jagan", observed Srikanth Reddy in a press conference at the YSRCP headquarters at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Tuesday.

If Naidu has any difference of opinion on the programmes of the state government, he was free to criticise them. But Naidu was making illogical statements as he has lost his balance. It is better for him to quit politics than make such statements, Srikanth Reddy said.

Jagan is striving for the people's welfare by implementing the Navaratna schemes. He has also implemented programmes for the welfare of the home guards and the police. However, out of frustration, Naidu has been speaking against such welfare measures, said Srikanth Reddy.

While hailing from Rayalaseema, Naidu has been shamelessly calling Rayalaseema people of being rowdies, just because the people have not voted for him. Naidu was making statements against the police and belittling them. It is wrong, said Srikanth Reddy.
