Chandrababu Naidu seeks restoration of law & order in Tadipatri
Amaravati: TDP national president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday demanded the YSRCP government to take stringent action against Tadipatri MLA Pedda Reddy and his co-accused for attacking the JC Prabhakar Reddy's residence with deadly weapons.
Naidu shot off separate letters to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and DGP D Gautam Sawang, expressing concern that the rule of law collapsed in the state. He deplored that the law and order deteriorated like never before because of the unlawful activities of diehard factionists and gangsters all over.
Describing the latest attack in Tadipatri as a rarest of rare incident, the TDP chief recalled how the ruling party MLA along with his gang attacked the house of a former MLA and Opposition leader there. This was enough to say that there was no law and order. Such an attack never took place in the political history of AP.
Referring to the Tadipatri video, Naidu asked whether the JC family had anything to do with a conversation between two private individuals. One contractor was telling another person that he stopped supplying sand, unable to pay huge money demanded by the MLA's wife. Where was the connection between the video conversation and the TDP ex MLA? The YSRCP leaders were getting agitated when the people were raising their problems in public, he said.
Naidu asserted that the CCTV camera footage was clearly available to prove who attacked the JC house. Those who attacked were freely moving around without fear of the law. Whereas, the police had filed cases on the victims. Very alarmingly, SC, ST atrocities cases were filed against JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy.
Gangsters were resorting to rowdyism and goondaism with active support from the rulers. Indiscriminate attacks were being made on the people. The ruling party should wake up and take corrective action before it would be too late, he added.
Stating that the Chief Minister and the DGP should have to take responsibility if anything happens to the JC family, the TDP president demanded fool-proof security cover to them and stringent action against MLA Pedda Reddy and co-accused in the attack case.
