Andhra Pradesh SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar's security cover scaled up
Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has been provided security. After the postponement of the local bodies elections, the ruling YSRCP party leaders criticized him. It was reported that he had written to the Union Home Ministry to provide him security. However, he did not confirm that he had written letter rather termed it to be fake.
Despite all these developments, the government has increased the security to Ramesh Kumar from 1 + 1 to 4 + 4. He seems to have assisted with 4 + 4 security since morning.
On the other hand, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, DGP Sawang and IB chief Manish Kumar met to discuss the state election commissioner Ramesh Kumar's letter to Union Home Secretary. CM YS Jagan has ordered the authorities to conduct a full-length investigation into the letter which levelled allegations on the government. On the other hand, many parties, including the BJP, have also demanded security for Ramesh Kumar. Hence the security cover has been enhanced to SEC.
