Andhra Pradesh: Retired IAS officials blast Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam transfer
Amaravati: The retired IAS officials have been expressing their displeasure over the transfer of Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam.
Retired Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao said that, if this was a reward for taking a stand by CS on removing staff of other religions from Hindu temples all the more reprehensible.
He further tweeted, "Though CM has all the powers to replace CS the manner in which this was done is unfortunate and avoidable. CMO is becoming an institution with all powers and no responsibility and is responsible for the downfall of CMs who are failing to control it."
Another retired IAS officer, K Sujatha Rao, who submitted a report on health reforms in the state in the present government, has lambasted Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for unprecedented decision to transfer Subrahmanyam.
She added, "Extremely sad to see the unceremonious way in which the Chief Secretary of AP has been shunted out for following rules. Rule based governance is core to development. An unfortunate development that should have been avoided. The new CM needs to have good advisors. Sad.", on her personal Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Reacting to her comments, Ravindra Sanagavarapu stated, "Madam- you are also advising the new CM. Why cant you either abstain or reject in support of ousted CS." (sic)
Replying to that comment, she said, "fortunately I am no advisor....chaired a committee to write report - done. Last week co chairing a committee to implement the recommendations....will see how far that goes." (sic).
