AgriGold agents thank government for promise of repayment

Vijayawada: AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association honorary president M Nageswara Rao expressed his gratitude on behalf of the association to the newly formed YSRCP government as it has assured to pay deposits below Rs 20,000 within three months.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, Nageswara Rao recalled that the earlier government has passed GOs to clear the deposits below Rs 10,000 and failed to deliver the same. He appealed to the government to take appropriate decision in the cabinet meeting to release the amount to the depositors as assured within a period of three months. He said that a memorandum in this regard will be given to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

He further said that the data pertaining to the AgriGold victims was with the earlier government and the present government can follow that data and do justice to the victims. He said that all the assets purchased by AgriGold on benami should be seized and shall be utilised by the government by purchasing the lands and do justice to the victims, he added.
