90,000 teachers to get trained in English: Minister A Suresh

Visakhapatnam: Over 90,000 teachers in the state will be imparted training to facilitate teaching in English medium from the next academic year, according to Education Minister A Suresh.

Addressing media here on Thursday, Suresh said that an IAS officer was appointed for the purpose. Required printing material would be made ready in the next five months, the Minister said.

Teachers would be equipped in such a way that the lessons would be understood by students easily, particularly in the rural areas, said the Minister. All these steps were being taken on a war-footing as part of the Nadu-Nedu programme, he added.
