ZPs, MPPs Poll Schedule Out : KCR directs leaders to stay in native places
As the State Election Commission issued notification for Mandal and Zilla Parishad elections on Saturday, TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed all his party leaders, including Ministers, MLAs and MLCs, to leave Hyderabad and stay in their native place until the elections are concluded.
Hyderabad: As the State Election Commission issued notification for Mandal and Zilla Parishad elections on Saturday, TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed all his party leaders, including Ministers, MLAs and MLCs, to leave Hyderabad and stay in their native place until the elections are concluded.
He was conducting a teleconference with all Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) district committee presidents and instructed them to organise party meetings and finalise candidates for the post of MPTC and ZPTC members.
All the MLAs were instructed to scout for winning candidates in the elections to ensure 31 Zilla Parishad chairperson posts are won by the TRS with a thumbing majority.
"The MLAs and MLCs who registered outstanding performance in the elections will be given posts like Corporation Chairpersons and other nominated posts at the State level," party leaders said.
Sources said that Chandrashekar Rao will hold regular meetings with the leaders and give necessary directions and suggestions to the MLAs to ensure that TRS continues winning spree in the local body elections.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president K T Rama Rao will also plunge into action and hold meetings with district leaders before the polls.
The party also made arrangements for meetings to be attended by the Ministers in every district. Chandrashekar Rao and Rama Rao will not take part in the poll campaign.
