Mancherial: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev said weekly off to police personnel is a great relief, who will deal with work stress daily. The Telangana government has declared weekly off to cops, which is being implemented from Wednesday (June 26).
Following the orders of Ramagundam Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana, he held a meeting with armed and police officers at police headquarters in Ramagundam on Wednesday.
He said that this weekly off system has been introduced in order to forget the six days of hardship and enjoy a day of relaxation with the family. He instructed the staff and officials, who utilise the weekly off, should not leave the district headquarter without informing their officer. He also said this order should be implemented with the cooperation from all the staff.
As part of friendly policing, Sanjeev asked the police personnel to increase the respect among the people for police department.
The staff of police department were happy over the implementation of weekend holiday. RI (Admin) Sundar Rao, RI (MTO) Madhukar, RSI Santosh and others were present.
