Wear a helmet for your family: Nirmal SP C Shashidhar Raju
The police are conducting Cordon and Search operation for the safety and security of the people and to get the police department closer to the public, stated Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju, after conducting search operation at Maddipadga village under Kaddam police station limits in Nirmal district on Wednesday.

the SP said the police are carrying this operation to curb crime, to maintain peace and tranquillity in the village and to ensure that the people of the district will live peacefully without fear. During the search operation, 65 two-wheelers, five Autos, two cars, liquor worth Rs 18,660 were seized and about 100 police personnel took part in the search operation, he added.
The SP said Blue Colts and petro car teams were launched to increase the confidence among the people about their safety and these teams will work 24x7. Stating that the police always keep an eye on the movement of criminals, he asked the villagers to set up CCTV cameras at main centres in the village to prevent crime and to nab the criminals with the help of CCTV footage. A single CCTV camera is equal to 100 police persons, he said.
Shashidhar Raju advised the people not to drive two wheelers without helmet and to wear them for the sake of their family members. On this occasion, the SP felicitated a villager, who wears helmet always while driving.
The SP created awareness among the villagers about the traffic rules as part of 31st National Highway Safety Week. He educated students and motorists on road safety rules at Sattenapalli X roads in Nirmal district. The SP said to prevent accidents, the motorists should be aware of traffic rules, they should not drink and drive, not to drive at high speed. The SP informed that the department will conduct awareness programmes in schools and colleges for students.
The SP presented roses to the people, who are driving wearing a helmet.
Additional SPs Srinivas Rao, Venkat Reddy, DSP Uppendar Reddy, Inspectors Jairam Naik, RI Venkati, SI Bhavani Sen and others were present.
