Village development leads to State development: Minister Gangula

Karimnagar: The State will develop only when the villages are developed on par with towns and cities, said BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar. He was the chief guest at Palle Pragathi programme at local Mandal Parishad office here on Tuesday and distributed tractors to the village panchayats.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kamalakar said that as per the ideology of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the villages must be developed and must be modernised and must be shaped into healthy villages.
During the 30-day action plan, several programmes were conducted even though many developmental activities were left pending, which should be taken up to lead the villages towards development. As part of that, a tractor is sanctioned to each village panchayat present across the State, he explained. There are 21 village panchayats present in the district and 19 tractors were sanctioned by investing Rs 1.64 crore for carrying out sanitation, cleanliness and to water the plants planted during Haritha Haram drive in villages, told the Minister.
He also said that in the coming days, the CM is going to sanction fogging machines and sweeping machines to village panchayats.
District Panchayat Officer Raghuvaran, MPP Lakshmaiah, Sri Latha, ZPTCs P Karuna, P Lalitha, MPDOs Pavan Kumar, Srinivas Reddy, TRS leaders Narayana and Mallesham were present along with others.
