Unidentified man sets himself ablaze on national highway in Shadnagar
Commuters, shocked, watch horrific incident as mute spectators
Shadnagar: An unidentified person committed suicide by setting himself on fire on a road even while others were watching as mute spectators. The incident occurred at Burgula village crossroads on National Highway 44 under Shadnagar mandal limits on Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the unidentified person, who came on his Royal Enfield bike, stopped on the roadside under a tree and took out a petrol bottle, doused himself and set on fire, even while onlookers were watching him in shock.
Unable to save him, the people just remained as mute spectators witnessing the horrific incident. The Shadnagar police reached the spot and doused the fire. However, they could not save the man. His body was shifted to Shadngar government hospital for post-mortem.
According to police, they have found a name, Vishun Vardhan Reddy written on the deceased's bike. However, they have not yet confirmed anything and said they would come up with full details only after investigation.
