TRS supporters join Congress in Khammam
On Tuesday evening, 50 families who were supporting the Telangana Rashtra Samithi have switched their loyalties to Congress and the joined the party in the presence of Renuka Chowdhary.
Khammam: On Tuesday evening, 50 families who were supporting the Telangana Rashtra Samithi have switched their loyalties to Congress and the joined the party in the presence of Renuka Chowdhary.
The families from 28th division in Khammam city joined the Congress party with the guidance of local Congress leaders Chateb Babu and Khadir.
They all are sitting MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy followers.
They said that they were hurt by the TRS not giving party ticket to Ponguleti and decided to leave the party and join the Congress.
They received a warm welcome at the Congress party office. Renuka Chowdhary welcomed them into the party fold by offering party scarves.
Market committee former chairman Manukonda Radha Kishore and others were present.
