TRS government failed to stop outbreak of dengue in Hyderabad: BJP

Hyderabad: BJP senior leader and President, Futuristic Cities, Karuna Gopal on Thursday said that Hyderabad has become one of the dengue prone cities in the country as the Telangana government failed on all fronts to take preventive measures in curbing the deadly fever epidemic.
Participating in a round table conference here, she said that Hyderabad was never on the dengue map of India. There was Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Delhi for decades.
The BJP leader held TS government responsible for the outbreak of dengue every year.
The government's health system is already in shambles and this will escalate into unmanageable proportions leading to variants much powerful, Karuna said that Swine Flu transition is already seen in Telangana.
The BJP leader said the government had failed and the onus has totally been shifted to the medical fraternity. "It is the doctors, who are being blamed for dengue deaths.
There have been violent attacks on doctors and hospitals are being vandalised by patients," she stated.
The Telangana government has completely abdicated its responsibility and pushed everything on the fragile, ill-equipped, badly aided public healthcare system, she faulted.
