The city traffic police have imposed traffic restrictions in the view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad on Saturday. The Prime Minister will be visiting Bharat Bio-tech to review the status of Covaxin. Hence, all the commuters on Hyderabad-Karimnagar road have been asked to co-operate with the police.

The Prime Minister is said to be leaving for Bharat Biotech by road after his arrival in Hakimpet. The Prime Minister will visit the facility and interact with the scientists and others concerned and later he will return to Hakimpet and fly to Delhi.

Bharat Biotech is developing COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). At present, phase-III clinical trials of the vaccine are being carried out which involved around 26,000 volunteers across 22 sites in India.
