On Thursday, one-day workshop conducted on 'road safety and control of road accidents in Telangana State' to improve the road safety in the State.

Additional CP, Traffic, Anil Kumar and traffic officers from all the districts along with road safety experts participated in the workshop held at conference hall in DGP office premises.

Speaking on the occasion, he motivated the participants "how to co-ordinate with all the stakeholders to reduce the road accidents".

The workshop discussed on the topics of road safety audit, black spots identification and joint inspections by engineering teams, root cause analysis for road accidents, implementation of remedial measures and various case studies on improvement of road safety.

Road safety expert S Pradeep Reddy of Third Rock Consultants Private Limited and M Venkat Reddy, E E of GHMC explained the participants about the diverse topics of black spots and safety measures for road safety.

Sandeep Shandilya, Additional DGP, Railways and Road Safety, enlightened about the root cause analysis and taking safety measures to prevent road accidents at black spot stretches.
