Three Innovators from Telangana won at the third edition of Jagriti Sustainable Enterprise Awards 2019 in collaboration with CocaCola India
Hyderabad: Three Innovators from Telangana won at the third edition of Jagriti Sustainable Enterprise Awards 2019 in collaboration with CocaCola India, held on 28th and 29th November 2019, at SIMSREE college, Mumbai.
Out of 6 winners across the nation, 3 are from Telangana. The awards were given under the themes — Water, Recycle & and; Agriculture.
Time and again, innovators from Telangana have been proving their talent and redefining the concept of Innovation as a Solution. Amongst the 3, Uday Nadiwade and Rajesh Saraf of D-Cal from Hyderabad, secured the first position for their innovation, Hard Water Softener, under the Water theme, while Godasu Narsimha of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri has declared runner up in the same theme for his innovation, Water Hyacinth Removal Machine. Narsimha Chary Mandaji from Nizamabad was declared winner under the theme Recycle for his innovation to use spoiled tube lights in an effective way which prevents mercury from contaminating land & water. The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 1,25,000 for 1st position and Rs 75,000 for runner up.
Five Telangana innovators who made it to finals on 29th November received an opportunity to participate in the upcoming Jagriti Yatra, beginning this December.
Organized by Jagriti Yatra, the world's largest train journey that aims to build India through social enterprises, SEA 2019 received 300 applications across the nation, out of which 42 were selected for Semi-finals, where 7 of the semi-finalists were from Telangana. The selected 7 innovators pitched in front of the jury comprising of representatives from CocaCola India, Jagriti, along with Angel Investors and Social Activists.
