Hanamkonda: The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced the results of Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET 2019) for admission into MBA and MCA courses on Friday.
Releasing the results at Kakatiya University (KU)'s Senate Hall here, TSCHE chairman Prof T Papi Reddy said that 49,465 candidates registered for the exam, of which 44,561 appeared and 41,002 candidates qualified the test registering a pass percentage of 92.
Mandava Haneesh Satya of Hyderabad secured first rank in the ICET by scoring 160.17178 marks. Hyderabad candidates made merry by clinching nine of the top 20 ranks. Likki Bhargavi of Suryapet, who scored 151.83429 marks stood first among the girls while her combined rank is fifth.
KU Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna has announced the names of top 20 rankers. Registrar Prof K Purushotham was among others present at the programme. This is the eighth successive time that KU has conducted the TS ICET successfully, the TS ICET Convener Prof Ch Rajesham, Commerce and Business Management, said, thanking the TSCHE for the opportunity given to the KU. It may be mentioned here that ICET was conducted in 67 centres including four centres in Andhra Pradesh on May 23 and 24, 2019, at various centres. According to officials, there are about 24,000 MBA seats and over 2,000 MCA seats are up for grabs in Telangana. However, the number of seats may vary depending on the fresh affiliation of colleges. The exam is conducted for admissions into university and private affiliated colleges in Telangana offering MBA and MCA courses.

Meanwhile, Warangal girl Mahima Jhawar, who scored 143.20659 marks, secured 20th rank in the ICET. Mohammed Aamir Sohail of Kamalapuram village under Mangapet mandal in Mulugu district secured 18th rank by scoring 143.44163.
