Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) founder-president Prof Kodandaram on Tuesday slammed the State government and alleged that it was hatching conspiracies on the implementation of PRC (Pay Revision Commission) for all its employees.

He made the remarks while addressing a protest programme held by Government Teachers' unions, like JACTO and UPSC, at Indira Park demanding that the government solve their problems.

The TJS leader said that it was unfortunate that the State police had arrested teachers who were coming to take part in the protest programme. He said the credit for arresting the teachers, who are supposed to be in their classrooms goes to the government. Prof Kodandaram said the government should concede all legitimate demands of teachers. Narsi Reddy, MLC, said that they would stand by teachers of the State.

He demanded the government to immediately hold a meeting with teachers citing that there is a need to run all the government schools properly. Reddy demanded immediate recruitment of requisite number of teachers.
