Nirmal: She Team Sub-Inspector Mallesh wanted the college students to be in good terms with fellow students with a sense of brotherhood. He also told them not to criticise other students and not to discriminate.

Addressing a She Ream awareness programme at Government Junior College in Nirmal on Wednesday, SI Mallesh told the students to respect fellow students and always ready to help and protect girl students like their sister. If all the students of the college share the responsibility, it will create a healthy atmosphere in the college, he said. They were also told to leave bad friends, bad habits and wrong path to become successful in their lives.

The SI urged the parents not to send their children for labour work in order to prevent child labour in the society. Harassing women is an offense and serious action will be taken against those, who resort to such heinous act, he warned.

The girls were told to dial 100 immediately or dial 9490619043 if anyone harasses them and police will be there to protect them. She Team constables, college staff and students were present at the meeting.
