Hyderabad: Telangana is all set to go to Lok Sabha polls on April 11 with nearly 2.97 crore people eligible to exercise their franchise to elect new parliamentarians. The Election Commission of India published the final electoral rolls on March 25 (Monday).

The final electoral roll has a total of 2 crore 96 lakh 97 thousand 279 voters, after inclusion of 3, 89,676 votes. The final rolls consist of nearly 1.49 crore male voters and 1.48 crore female voters.

The number of voters in the 18-19 age group is listed as 6.53 lakh and the total PWD (Persons with Disabilities) voters stood at nearly 5.14 lakh.

The total number of NRI voters jumped from 1,122 to over 1,500 in the fresh list.

Among the districts, Hyderabad has the highest number of voters (over 41.8 lakh) while Wanaparthy (2.47 lakh) was at the bottom.

When it comes to parliamentary segment wise number, Malkajgiri has the highest number of voters (31.49 lakh) while Mahabubabad (14.23 lakh) was at the bottom of the ladder in all 17 MP segments.

It may be mentioned here that in the earlier list published on February 22, the total number of voters was 2,95,18,964.
