Warangal: Set your goals and work hard to realise them, Warangal Rural District Collector M Haritha said. Speaking at a felicitation ceremony meant for those students, who scored 10/10 GPA in recent SSC examinations, here on Tuesday, she said that there is no substitute for hard work.
"It's heartening to see the teachers in the State-run schools focusing on imparting quality education to their students. Parents need to complement the teachers' efforts by encouraging their wards," Haritha said.
It's understandable that majority of students studying in the State-run schools are financially weak, hence, the government is providing all the facilities for them to excel in their academics, the Collector said. Unlike yesteryears, the government schools are now exceptionally doing well in imparting quality education, she said.
The student-teacher relationship reflects in the success of students' career, she said.
The Collector urged the people not to marry off their girl child at a tender age. Allow them to pursue their academics and bring accolades to nation, she added.
While the 14 students, who achieved 10/10 GPA in SSC, will be given Rs 10,000 each, the 60 schools that achieved 100 per cent results would get Rs 50,000 each on June 2, the Telangana Formation Day, the Collector said, after felicitating students, their parents and headmasters. DEO Rajiv and DFO K Purushotham were among others present.
