Siddipet: JACTO USPC leaders Mattapalli Ranga Rao, C Chandra Reddy, Tirupathi Reddy, Ponnamalla Ramulu and Raji Reddy on Friday demanded that the state government implement the Pay Revision Commission with effect from the due date of July 1, 2018. They were speaking at a programme to release a poster for 'Chalo Assembly' called by the union to be held on March 13.
Ranga Rao asked the government to call for PRC report immediately and also asked it to fulfill all the promises made by KCR to the representatives of various employee unions on May 16, 2018. He urged the government to replace the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) with the old pension system and implement minimum wages act to contract employees. Condemning the postponement of PRC implementation period from three months to thirty months, he said that decision was taken without consulting employee unions.
The neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh had been implementing IR of 27 per cent and most of the states which were implementing Seventh Pay Commission were giving better salaries to employees. The promises made by the CM KCR to employee union leaders regarding promotions, upgradation of pandits and PETs, compensatory recruitments, transfer of couples and other issues remained unfilled so far, they lamented. He called upon teachers to join them in their united fight against the state government for fulfilment of their demands.
Among those who were present on the occasion include Patnam Bhoopal, T Yadagiri, Kanakaiah, Raju, Sridhar, Krishna, Mustala Yadagiri, Srinivas, Chandrabanu, Shivaji, Yellaiah, Manish, Srikanth and others.
