Mancherial: Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested seven gamblers while playing cards and seized Rs 47,920 at Medariwada in Mancherial town on Wednesday.
The arrested were identified as Chandu Khan, Gundu Tirupathi Goud, Mallesh, Satyanarayana, Sagar, Laxman and Arun. Sub-Inspector Chandrashekar told the people to give information to the police by dialling 100 if they found any suspicious activities in their areas.
Police need people's support in preventing any untoward incidents and the informers' name and other details will not be disclosed, he assured.
