Hyderabad: The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is all set to organise the Rural Innovators Startup Conclave (RISC) 2019 on September 27 and 28.
A NIRDPR communique on Tuesday said the RISC is being held in memory of the late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and it has already attracted applications from more than 17 States in the country.
The themes of RISC 2019 are agriculture and allied activities, green energy solution, waste to wealth, health and elderly care, drinking water and sanitation, sustainable housing and livelihood.
The Conclave will serve as a platform to showcase a wide array of budding entrepreneurs, rural innovators and aspiring startups to demonstrate their design ideas, innovations, technologies, pitch, and get an opportunity to receive learning and mentoring support and get connected with potential funding and network support.
Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare will be attending as the chief and inaugurate the two-day conclave.
G Kishan Reddy, Minister of State for Home Affairs will preside the inauguration and Dr G Ranjith Reddy, Member of Parliament (Chevella Constituency), and Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog will attend as the guests of honour.
