Karimnagar: The construction 14.5 kilometres road in the city are in the final stage and will be completed very soon, stated BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar. On Monday, he inaugurated the final cutting works of two roads - one in front of SRR Degree and PG College and another one at Markfed area, which were taken up at a cost of Rs 5.15 crores in Karimnagar city.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kamalakar said the final cutting works, which were taken up at Holimar Markfed Beat-I, will be of high standards using advanced technology compared to normal beat roads. With this new technology, the cost involved in road construction will be 30 to 40 percent more compared to normal beat roads, he added.
Kamalakar said that after completion of road construction, there will be two meters width on either side of the road, which will be used for footpath and yellow, white and Zebra lines will be marked. All the works will be completed within three months.
The Minister said that Karimnagar will look beautiful like Hyderabad once the roads are completed. The construction works are going on during nights so as not to create inconvenience to the commuters. The people should understand this and must cooperate with the officials, he urged.
