Revenue Department pitches in to help TSBIE in reverification process
According to TSBIE officials, the reverification and recounting process is a herculean task for the Board
Hyderabad: Revenue Department has pitched in to bail out the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) by lending its help for the speedy reverification of over 3 lakh answer sheets of failed candidates, besides 1, 07,490 applications by the students for reverification as on Saturday evening.
According to the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) officials, the reverification and recounting process is a herculean task for the Board making the next 15 days tough for completing the entire process and to give final Intermediate results.
Speaking to The Hans India, senior Board officials said against this backdrop and following a request being made by the TSBIE the Revenue Department had readily agreed to extend the scanners which are being used in executing the Dharani land records project.
The Dharani project is an Integrated Land Records Management System ("Dharani") that is meant to combine the Land Administration and Registration Services which serves as a single source of truth.
As part of extending four revenue and about 10 registration services, the Dharani project had deployed the FV-600 Book-scanners for the purpose of capturing the land records and to convert them to be stored in the digital repository and to be used for some other services being extended to the citizens under the Dharani project.
"Now these scanners will be deployed at 12 spot valuation centres across the centres for scanning three lakh answer sheets as part of the reverification process.
In turn, this will speed up the process and give results at the earliest possible date," the official said. Accordingly, the District Collectors were asked to provide the scanners as the implementation of the Dharani project is already incompletion.
In turn, the Mandal Revenue Officials (MROs) will be deploying the book-scanners at the spot valuation centres. When contacted TSBIE Secretary Ashok said, "the scanners are a perfect fit needed for the scanning process of the answer sheet.
They will handy in the current situation for speedy processing. That apart, the Board does not have a huge number of staff like data entry operators and the like.
Hence, we have also requested the revenue department to spare their staff for the data entry purpose, for which, the department has readily agreed, he added.
