Ravinder Singh elected Telangana Yoga Association chairman
Former Mayor Sardar Ravinder Singh has been appointed as the Chairman of Telangana Yoga Association and N Siddha Reddy was unanimously elected as the vice-president.
Karimnagar: Former Mayor Sardar Ravinder Singh has been appointed as the Chairman of Telangana Yoga Association and N Siddha Reddy was unanimously elected as the vice-president. Telangana Yoga Association had conducted elections for a new body at Hotel Plaza in Hyderabad on Sunday where district president and secretaries were unanimously elected by the State Yoga Association based on their performance. For the first time in the history of sports in the district, a resident of Karimnagar district was elected as the chairman of the Yoga Association.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Singh said that the State government under the auspices of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is giving special priority to sports and a Cabinet sub-committee had been set up under the leadership of IT Minister KT Rama Rao to formulate a new sports policy. The new chairman said that efforts would be made to build yoga halls in every district with the government's help and to make everyone practices yoga.
Ravinder Singh and Siddha Reddy thanked all the members for electing them.
Yellandu MLA Banoth Haripriya, State Olympic Association General Secretary Jagadishwar Yadav, Joint Secretary Mallareddy, State Yoga Association Working President SN Reddy, general secretary Manohar Kumar, District Sports and Youth Officer Keerthi Rajaviru and District Olympic Association members congratulated the duo.
