Kothagudem: District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini on Tuesday asked the bank officials to concentrate on public issues and give best services to the people.
Addressing a meeting with bankers, he advised them to run the bank branches from 10 am to 4pm for the convenience of people. He also urged them to provide loans to farmers in the current Kharif season.
He said as part of recoveries, do not take any money from the pension amount provided under schemes like Aasara. He also asked the banks to open more branches in the major panchayats of the district. He appreciated to the bank officers for opening the SBI branch in Gundala village.
Under the SC Corporation and TRICOR nearly 2,100 persons were given subsidy loans, and 2,346 unit farm equipment were sanctioned in the current financial year, he added.
Lead Bank Manager Pulla Rao, State Bank Of India Regional Manager A Balandh, Andhra Pradesh Gramina Vikas Bank Regional Manager I Srikanth, District Co-operative Bank Regional Manager K Naveen Kumar and other bank officers attended the meeting.
