Mancherial: Strict action will be taken on those, who violate rules, warned Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshita K Murthy at a press meet here on Tuesday.

She said that the police have made tight security arrangements for the procession and immersion of Ganesh idols at Mancherial pushkar ghats, Luxettipet, Gudem and Bellampalli with the coordination of the staff of municipal and irrigation departments. Cranes have been arranged at all the immersion venues.

The officials of revenue, R&B, health and electricity departments were told to take all measures for the smooth conduct of the immersion process and to avoid any untoward incidents on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police also instructed the officials concerned to arrange CCTV cameras at all the immersion venues, to fill up potholes on the roads on which the immersion processions will pass on, and to take steps to complete the immersion process on time. She told the Ganesh pandal organisers to work with coordination to complete the immersion in a peaceful and healthy atmosphere.

Under Ramagundam Commissionerate limits, three DCPs, six ACPs, 25 Circle Inspectors, 40 Sub-Inspectors, ASIs, head constables, 200 constables and four special parties have been deployed to provide security. Along with them, special police in civil dress also will monitor the situation.

Rakshita told the organisers not to allow children to come along with the idols to the immersion venue.

She urged everyone to cooperate in concluding the festival in a peaceful manner.
