Protests erupt at Shadnagar police station demanding the death penalty to the accused who raped and murdered Veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy. Angry locals including women and students staged protest in front of the police station demanding that the accused be hanged immediately without an enquiry and trial.

The police sent the accused to Shadnagar police station today to produce them before a court in the town. Some protestors said these criminals had no place in the society and hence they should be killed in an 'encounter'.

Meanwhile, the police tightened up the security and deployed additional force around the police station to prevent any untoward incident as the accused are to be taken to the court. The accused will be taken to fast-track court at Mahabubnagar later in the day to be produced before the magistrate.

On the other hand, the Federation of Telangana Bar Associations condemned the murder of Priyanka Reddy and decided to help the bereaved family. They urged not to help the accused in getting bail.
