Historical significance of September 17
Addressing the gathering, the SP recalled that although India attained Independence on August 15, 1947, the Hyderabad State continued under the Nizam’s rule. Call for transparent, accountable governance
Dr Shabarish said welfare, transparency and accountability are key pillars of democratic governance. He urged that the system of people’s governance should ensure that government services and welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary in a transparent manner.
