As many as 24,442 or 4.85% of 503,429 registered candidates of intermediate first year abstained from the Chemistry Paper - I and Commerce (Old & New) Paper - I exams conducted by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: As many as 24,442 or 4.85% of 503,429 registered candidates of intermediate first year abstained from the Chemistry Paper - I and Commerce (Old & New) Paper - I exams conducted by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday.

A total of 26 students were booked for malpractice across Telangana. They include five cases each in Medak and Yadadri, four each in Nalgonda and Jangaon; three in Medak; two each in Jagtial and Warangal Urban and one each in Warangal Rural, Khammam and Vikarabad districts.

According to TSBIE, examinations were conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents.
