Nigerian held for cheating woman in Hyderabad

A Nigerian national was taken into custody in Delhi by the city cyber crime police for allegedly cheating a woman in the pretext of marrying her.

Alionyem Bright (32), a native Detta in Nigeria is residing at Tilak Nagar in West Nigeria. According to the police, Bright contacted the woman introducing himself as Basim Karim from United Kingdom and showed interest in marrying her.
He then told her he is coming to India soon.
However, on the next day the woman received fake calls claiming that Basim was arrested in Delhi by the custom officials and asked her to pay Rs 16.3 lakh.
The woman paid the cash to them was later realised that she got cheated and approached the cyber crime police.
